The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, expressed optimism about his country's journey towards the EU. He said today that next year strong steps will be taken on the way to the European Union. Meanwhile, he added that the next three years will be decisive for Montenegro to become a full member by 2027 or 2028.
" We as decision-makers in Montenegro and decision-makers in Brussels must use this moment. It is important that in the coming months decisions are made on appointments to the judiciary, which are under the jurisdiction of the Parliament of Montenegro ," said Milatovic.
He called on the parliament to act as soon as possible to fill the remaining vacancies in the judiciary.
" I expect that the new session of the Parliament of Montenegro will behave responsibly and find a consensus when it comes to judicial appointments ," said Milatovic.
