There are new suspicions that Russian President Vladimir Putin may be using a sozi. On Tuesday, he posed with Chechen commander Ramzan Kadyrov, who looks pale in the face.
While on Wednesday, footage from a trip to Dagestan in the Caucasus was published where he is seen in the middle of a crowd of fans.
He kissed a teenage girl and hugged many of his well-wishers.
This is despite strict measures taken in recent weeks in Moscow and St Petersburg, where people were required to self-quarantine for up to two weeks before meeting him. But in defiance of the measures that have been taken, he was seen shaking people's hands and caressing the face of a little girl.
Putin or his sidekick were also seen shaking hands and adjusting an officer's uniform, British tabloid Metro.uk reports.
He has never greeted his security staff in such a way before.
A senior Moscow diplomat said: It is becoming impossible to believe that there is only one Putin. They look very similar, but the behavior is somewhat different. I assume the real one is looking weak and sick, but smiling at Kadyrov. The one who is with the crowd in Dagestan behaves differently from the traditional Putin.
Commentator Viktor Alksnis, a Soviet military tactician and politician who is now a Western-based analyst known as the Black Colonel, said: How can the physical security of the president be ensured under such conditions? Something is wrong here. It looks like a theater production in which Putin is not really Putin.
The well-known pro-war analyst Igor Strelkov suggested that it was Putin's stooge in Dagestan.
"A person who looks a lot like the president and who did not at all require compliance with the required two-week quarantine was walking around Derbent," he said.
