The protests that are being held in the country seem to have shaken the positions of Aleksandër Vucic. Serbian media write that today he had a meeting with the closest circle of the party (from which he resigned), where he spoke very harshly. He has said that he is ready to die, but he does not give up power without an election.
" I'd rather die than leave Serbia to the scum! I'm going to call all the elections, I'm fed up with all the fraud, I'm ready to die, I'm not afraid at all! Here, I'm waiting for those cowards to come to me they kill, but I will never hand over power to them without elections ," said Vucic, "Nova.rs" reports.
The media, including "Informer" and "Večernje novosti", say that on Thursday, Vučić will attend the government meeting where he will announce "an important decision that will determine the future of the country and its citizens". According to them, there will most likely be early elections or drastic changes in the government.
The demands of the protesters are the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior Bratislava Gashič, the head of the BIA Aleksandar Vulin, the cancellation of television programs that incite violence, the removal of licenses for Pink and Happy Televisions, the closure of tabloids that propagate violence and the dismissal of RTS leaders.
The only demand since the beginning that has been met so far is the resignation of Education Minister Branko Ružić.
