Accusations against Prince Andrew, Royal Palace reacts: We are ready to
The Epstein scandal

Buckingham Palace has said it is willing to assist Thames Valley Police in assessing new allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, regarding his relationship with financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Police are investigating allegations that Andrew, while serving as the UK's trade envoy, shared confidential documents with Epstein. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

In an official statement, the Royal Palace stressed that the king has made clear his concern about the allegations that continue to emerge. “ The King has made clear, both in words and through unprecedented actions, his deep concern about the allegations that continue to emerge about the conduct of Lord Mountbatten-Windsor, ” the statement said.

The palace also clarified that, while the specific allegations are matters that need to be addressed personally by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the royal institution is ready to cooperate with the police if requested. “ If contacted by Thames Valley Police, we are ready to offer our support, as expected, ” it further underlined.

The statement recalls that the thoughts and solidarity of the King and Queen have been and remain with the victims of any form of abuse.

The new allegations relate to emails recently released as part of the Epstein files. An email exchange dated November 30, 2010, suggests that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor forwarded Epstein visit reports for Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, relating to a trip he made to Southeast Asia at the time.

Another email, sent on Christmas Eve 2010, appears to show the sharing of information described as "confidential" about investments in Afghanistan. These documents are now being reviewed by British authorities as part of their assessment of the claims.
