
An incident occurred during a flight from London to Scotland with the airline "Easy Jet".
A passenger stood up shouting that he had a bomb and that he was doing this to send a message to Donald Trump.
The plane had departed from Luton Airport and was bound for Glasgow. According to witnesses, the man emerged from the toilet at around 8am, raised his hands in the air and began shouting “Allahu Akbar” and then “I have a bomb!” At first, some passengers thought it was a strange joke, but the situation quickly escalated.
The passenger, a man about 1.80m tall and aggressive towards the cabin crew, clashed with them before being subdued by several other passengers. One of them said: “One person grabbed him from behind and knocked him down. Then everyone went on top of him to hold him down.”
According to British media, during the forced landing in Glasgow, the man was held down and immobilized by passengers. After the plane landed, about six police officers boarded and arrested the man, as terrified passengers watched.
In a video that has circulated online, the man is heard saying : "I wanted to send a message to Trump... he is in Scotland."
Recall that the American president was on a private visit to the country and was seen playing golf over the weekend.
The man, reportedly 41 years old and an Indian national, was carrying a refugee card. Flight crew checked his bag and confirmed that there was no bomb.
"At approximately 08:20 on Sunday morning, July 27, 2025, we received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight to Glasgow. A 41-year-old man was arrested and inquiries are ongoing ," Police Scotland officially announced.
