All are affected by the human dramas that have come to light after the Hamas attack on Israel that has killed 900 Israeli civilians and soldiers and taken dozens more hostage.
One such story was revealed by Israel's ambassador to Colombia, Gali Dragan, tragically starring a 30-year-old Israeli couple who managed to hide their 10-month-old twin babies before falling dead from Hamas terrorist fire.
According to Israeli diplomat Itai and Hadar Berdishevskyata were at home when the Hamas attack took place and had a few seconds to make a decision about their children who eventually hid them in a safe haven.
The 30-year-old couple "fought bravely" according to Israel's ambassador to Colombia before they were killed by Hamas gunmen.
Fortunately, the Hamas attackers were unable to find the two babies who were found alive by Israeli soldiers twelve hours after their parents were killed.
"They did everything they could to save their children. They hid them in a shelter before the terrorists entered their house. Itai and Hadar were brutally killed after fighting bravely against the terrorists," wrote Gali Dragan.
"Two terrified parents did everything they could to save their now orphaned children. May the memory of these heroes be blessed", concluded the Israeli diplomat in his post.
