Prigozhin's arrival in Minsk "alarms" the West, Lithuania appeals

The arrival of Wagner's head Prigozhin in Belarus seems to have alarmed the West. Taking a cue from recent developments in Moscow, the President of Lithuania has warned that if Belarus is to host Prigozhin, then NATO will have to strengthen its eastern flank.

"If Prigozhin or part of the Wagner group ends up in Belarus with unclear plans and unclear goals, it only means that we need to further strengthen the security of our eastern borders. I'm not just talking about Lithuania here, but without a doubt for all of NATO, " said Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.

The head of state, who will host a NATO summit next month, spoke after a meeting of the state security council to discuss Wagner's aborted revolt against the Kremlin.

We recall that after Prigozhin called off his revolt on Saturday, Moscow said Wagner's boss would leave Russia for Belarus and not face charges.
