
Greeks returned to the polls this Sunday for a second election process in five weeks, as Mitsotakis, although he managed to get a considered majority of votes, refused to form a governing coalition, thus sending the country back to the polls.
Meanwhile, the first exit polls have started, according to them, New Democracy has managed to gather the support of 42% of the participants in the elections, followed by Syriza with 17.6%, as well as PASOK 11.5%.
Exit polls have emerged from 80% of the sample.

Voting in Greece is mandatory, but there are exceptions for those over 70, for those who are abroad on election day, and for those who cannot vote for health reasons.
Mitsotakis' chances of winning a second term as prime minister this time are high, due to the changes made to the electoral law. Experts say that this election will be a vote on the economy and a reflection of a change that will lead Greek society towards conservatism, in part due to the strengthening of anti-immigration attitudes.
