Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi has approved battle plans for the next phase of the Israeli offensive in Gaza, according to the military.
"We know what needs to be done and we are ready for the next step," he said.
Meanwhile, Qatar is continuing intensive talks to extend the humanitarian ceasefire by 3 days. But one of the main problems is the release of the hostages after Israel sent Hamas a list of names to be released, while the militant group claims they were killed by Israeli bombing.
