Tensions escalate after the kidnapping of three policemen, Kosovo convenes the Security Council today

The Security Council of Kosovo will meet this morning, after the kidnapping of three police officers by Serbian forces.

Council meetings are held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, for issues related to Kosovo's security and regional stability.

According to the announcement by the Kosovo police, Serbian forces carried out a "classic kidnapping" against police officers in Leposavic, in an area where smuggling is carried out by Serbia.

The task of this Council is to recommend policies and strategies for security. The meeting was scheduled to begin at 07:00.
