At least 6 private jets have violated airspace at a point where Donald Trump was, causing unrest in the US, and one of them was immediately intercepted by F-16 fighter jets.
The incident occurred on Saturday when private jets entered restricted airspace over Bedminster, causing panic. US fighter jets scrambled with an emergency code!
According to information cited by the British newspaper Mirror, the planes invaded restricted airspace over Bedminster, New Jersey, while the US president was at his golf course over the weekend.
This led to the activation of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), with fighter jets investigating the breach.
The commander of NORAD, General Gregory Guillot, made the following statement:
"We are exercising maximum caution in areas with temporary flight restrictions for flight safety, national security, and the safety of the president. As the F-16s took off, one of the planes was immediately intercepted and the other planes departed the area."
Concerns about the president's security
The incident raised concerns about national security, as well as Trump's safety, as the violations occurred while he was at his golf club.
There have been many similar cases in recent months of aircraft intruding into the restricted airspace where Trump resides.
According to the US Air Force, which intercepted one of the planes on Sunday with F-16 fighter jets, in the latest incident all the planes were small private jets that were diverted from the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.
