Michael Polak, the lawyer of Serbian politician Nikola Sandulovic, has been detained by the Serbian Police and is currently being questioned.
The news was made known by Sandulovic himself, who asked for international reaction and intervention.
"Urgent!!!!!!!! My lawyer from London Michael PolakLaw was just detained by members of Vucic's police who are interrogating him... Will the international community finally do something about the dictatorial regime in Serbia?” he wrote on the X social network.
After that, the British MP Alicia Kearns reacted, who expressed her concern and announced that she had notified the British Foreign Ministry.
"This is deeply worrying - I have spoken to the Foreign Office and they are aware," she said.
The Serbian opposition politician, Nikola Sandulovic, was arrested and tortured by the Serbian BIA weeks ago, because he had visited Prekazi and paid homage to the grave of Blerina Jashari.
Also, his daughter was detained by the BIA for the same reason. His Serbian lawyer was also questioned because of his visit to Prekaz.
In his reaction, Sandulovoiç's other lawyer, Cedomir stojkovic, writes: "Initially, they detained me, the lawyer from Serbia, at the border. Today they are detaining a lawyer from London - in a desperate attempt to prevent anyone from outside Serbia from helping to realize human rights and the fight for democracy."
