EU foreign policy chief Kaia Kalas said the European Union will continue to hit Russia's war economy. She said the next package of sanctions against Moscow is expected to be ready next month.
During a video conference with the European Council, Kalas stressed that "the unity among EU leaders was visible" while adding that she has placed Ukraine's security and sanctions against Russia at the top of the agenda for the upcoming meeting of EU foreign and defense ministers.
"We cannot trust the Russian president for any promises or commitments. Therefore, security guarantees must be strong and credible, to prevent Russia from regrouping and attacking again ," Kalas wrote in a post on social media.
