Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that Iran "is no longer the same" after nearly two weeks of joint attacks by Israel and the United States, adding that the operations have hit Tehran's elite forces.
The statement was made during his first press conference since the start of the conflict, Reuters and The Jerusalem Post report.
Netanyahu said he maintains frequent contact with US President Donald Trump, with whom, according to him, he speaks almost every day.
"We speak openly," the Israeli prime minister said.
He added that one of the main objectives of the operations is to prevent Iran from moving its nuclear and ballistic programs to underground structures.
Referring to the northern front of the conflict, Netanyahu also warned Hezbollah, saying the group "will pay a high price for its aggression."
Asked about Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, Netanyahu said: "I would not take out any life insurance for these leaders."
The prime minister did not confirm whether Israel is arming Iranian protesters, but added that Israel could create conditions that could lead to regime change.
"We can create conditions for regime change, but it is up to the people of Iran to take to the streets," he said.
