Exchanges of fire continued on Saturday between the Israeli military and Hezbollah, with the Iran-backed group claiming nine attacks against Israeli forces.
The Israeli military said explosive drones launched by Hezbollah had fallen inside Israeli territory and an Israeli reservist soldier had been seriously injured.
A series of Israeli drone strikes killed a man and his 12-year-old daughter near Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The first strike targeted a motorbike they were riding on, and subsequent strikes killed the father and left the daughter seriously injured, the ministry said.
There was also an airstrike on a vehicle about 17 kilometers south of Beirut airport, according to Lebanon's official NNA news agency.
The Israeli military warned civilians in nine villages in southern Lebanon to leave on Saturday due to what it called "Hezbollah's violation of the ceasefire agreement." The evacuation orders follow similar requests on Friday, when the Israel Defense Forces issued evacuation orders for residents of several areas, including some north of the Litani River, outside an area it has occupied.
Both Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of violating the long-standing ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. The ceasefire was announced by US President Donald Trump on April 16 to pave the way for peace talks between the governments of Israel and Lebanon, but it has been repeatedly violated.
