Brigitte "rejected and ignored" her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, in a "cold" display as they arrived in the UK today, a body language expert has claimed.
French President Emmanuel Macron, 47, was "ignored" by his wife Brigitte, 72, as he extended his hand to her as they stepped off a plane when they arrived in Britain to greet the Prince and Princess of Wales ahead of their three-day state visit.
When President Macron extended his hand to Brigitte as she descended the stairs, she seemed not to notice, holding on to the railing.
A few minutes later, the Macron couple were seen in a car waiting to leave the base and relations appeared frosty, with Mrs. Macron looking at her phone after taking it out of her bag.
Today's embarrassing moment comes after the release of a shocking clip in which the First Lady appears to shoot her husband in the face as their plane landed in Vietnam in May.
The Macrons, who have been married since 2007, have denied any interpretation of their relationship, with a close aide to the president describing the moment as a harmless 'quarrel' between a married couple.
An official from the Elysee Palace also downplayed the footage, insisting that the moment had been misinterpreted and that the couple were "having a laugh", dismissing any suggestion that tensions were high between the French First Couple.
Now, body language expert Judi James has shared more information about the couple's recent exchange, writing: "You might have expected Brigitte to have clung to her husband's arm with a look of eternal devotion after that incident, but instead she seems to reject and even ignore him."

As she descends the plane's steep stairs, Macron turns in a gesture of concern and extends his right hand, perhaps to ensure she maintains her balance.
But Brigitte manages to descend another seven steps, ignoring his hand and even when she lands on the ground, she seems to turn directly back to her hosts, ignoring him again in the process.
