The British Foreign Minister has said that by organizing illegal elections on Ukrainian territory, Russia is not interested in finding the way to peace. Britain said it would continue to provide aid to Ukrainian army soldiers fighting Russian aggression
"By organizing illegal elections on Ukrainian territory, Russia demonstrates that it is not interested in finding a path to peace. The UK will continue to provide humanitarian, economic and military assistance to Ukrainians defending their democracy," the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry of Germany has also reacted to the elections. She said on Sunday that such a result will not surprise anyone since "pseudo-elections in Russia are neither free nor fair".
"Putin's rule is authoritarian, it relies on censorship, repression and violence. The 'elections' in the occupied territories of Ukraine are invalid and another violation of international law," it continues.
