Footage has been released of the moment when the perpetrator of the shooting attack at the correspondents' dinner, where Donald Trump was also present, breached security and entered the event hall.
As seen in the video, the perpetrator quickly "breaks through" security and enters the hall where the event was taking place. But security forces and the Secret Service immediately reacted.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump published a photo of the alleged perpetrator lying motionless on the floor with his hands tied behind his back.
According to CNN, it was initially reported that the shooter was dead. However, the Secret Service and Trump have said that the shooter has been arrested. Authorities have identified the suspect in the shooting as a 30-year-old man from California.
The 31-year-old is Cole Tomas Allen, a teacher in California.
