The United Kingdom continues its streak of negative results on the Eurovision stage. This year, Britain came in last place for the third time in its history, receiving zero points from the public vote.
A video recorded in the environment where the delegations of the participating countries were during the final night has gone viral on social networks, starring the British representative.
The footage is considered quite touching: British singer Sam Battle, known artistically as "Look Mum No Computer", is seen sitting completely alone at the British delegation's table during the jury voting, without any other team members next to him.
However, a gesture from the Danish delegation changed the atmosphere and restored the true spirit of Eurovision as a music festival without hostility or rivalry.
The Danish representative approached Sam Battle and invited him to sit at the Danish delegation table nearby so he wouldn't be alone. The British singer accepted the invitation, while social media users immediately reacted, humorously "declaring" Sam as "officially Danish."
At the same time, many commentators criticized the way the British delegation behaved towards the artist during the Eurovision final.
