Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today that he had a conversation with United States President Donald Trump, which focused on Iran and developments in the Middle East.
According to him, the US is exerting "very strong pressure on Iran", both economically and militarily, while the two countries "are acting in full cooperation".
Speaking about the situation in the region, Netanyahu stressed that the previously announced objective of changing the balance in the Middle East is in the process of being realized.
"I promised you that we would change the face of the Middle East, and that is exactly what we are doing," he said.
In a separate statement, also to The Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu said that a "historic peace" is being achieved between Israel and Lebanon. He stressed that Hezbollah is trying to hinder this process, while Israel, according to him, retains "complete freedom of action" to respond to any threat.
The Prime Minister confirmed that Israeli military operations in Lebanese territory continue, adding that the goal remains to restore security for residents in northern Israel.
