
Police authorities, in cooperation with the Turkish Secret Service (MIT) and the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office, arrested a private detective named Serkan Çiçek, on suspicion that he worked for the Mossad.
According to security sources, MIT conducted an operation codenamed "Metron Activity" targeting Çiçek after it was discovered that he was collaborating with Israel. The investigation revealed that he had contacts with Faysal Rasheed, a member of the Israeli Center for Internet Operations, and even admitted to monitoring a Palestinian activist who was against Israel's policy in the Middle East.

The investigation also revealed that his real name was Muhammet Fatih Keles, which he changed after heavy financial debts stemming from his professional activity. After leaving the profession, he opened a private investigation office in 2020. He then met with lawyer Tugrulhan Dip, who was also arrested for espionage for Israel, after he provided him with information from public records in exchange for a monetary reward.
His work as a detective caught the attention of Mossad. Agent Faysal Rasheed, posing as an associate at a law firm abroad, contacted him via WhatsApp on July 31.
He asked her to spy on a Palestinian activist living in Başakşehir and openly expressing his opposition to Israeli policies for four days. For this mission, Çiçek received $4,000 in cryptocurrency on August 1.
