The Turkish president, Erdogan, has joined the pro-Palestine protests. A march is being held in Istanbul today against Israel's attacks, and Erdogan has been harsh. He attacked Israel, accusing them of crimes against humanity.
In his speech he repeated claims that Israel was an occupier of Palestine and again made comments about the terrorist status of Hamas.
"I reiterate that Hamas is not a terrorist organization. Israel was very offended by this… Israel is an occupier. Turkey does not owe you anything," Erdogan said, addressing Israel.
According to estimates, hundreds of thousands of people took part in the rally.
Meanwhile, earlier this Saturday Erdogan called on Israel to "immediately stop this madness" and end the attacks in Gaza.
"The Israeli bombardment in Gaza intensified last night and once again targeted women, children and innocent civilians, worsening the humanitarian crisis," Erdogan wrote in X.
