US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has provided details of the attacks launched in the early hours of Sunday on Iran's nuclear plants.
He revealed that the order given by President Donald Trump was clear not to target civilians.
“The order we received from our commander in chief was focused, powerful, and clear. We destroyed the Iranian nuclear program, but it is worth noting that the operation did not target Iranian troops or the Iranian people. Thanks to the bold and visionary leadership of President Trump and his commitment to peace through strength, Iran’s nuclear ambitions have been thwarted. When this president speaks, the world must listen. And the American military, the most powerful military the world has ever known, has carried out an operation that no other country on planet Earth could have carried out,” said Secretary Hegseth.
