The United Arab Emirates has reported a new airstrike, stating that its defense systems have withstood a significant number of missiles and drones.
According to the Ministry of Defense, "the United Arab Emirates' air defenses confronted 15 missiles and four Iranian drones," in an incident that comes amid a tense climate in the region.
Authorities explained that the attack involved "12 ballistic missiles and three cruise missiles," and that three people were injured as a result.
In the same statement, the ministry also provided a broader overview of the security situation, noting that "this brings the total since the beginning of the war to 549 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles and 2,260 UAVs."
Commenting on the developments, the Ministry of Defense emphasized its determination to guarantee the country's defense.
"The Ministry of Defense affirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to face any threat and will confront with determination anything that aims to undermine the country's security, in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, security and stability and protects its national interests and capabilities," the announcement said.
The attack constitutes another episode of escalating tensions in the Persian Gulf, while there is still no official reaction from Iran regarding these claims.
