An Israeli air defense system has been used to intercept Iranian missiles over the territory of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the growing cooperation between the two countries in the security field.
Sources familiar with the developments confirm that Israel has secretly deployed the Iron Dome system to the Emirates since the beginning of the confrontation with Iran, along with personnel to operate it. The move is seen as a strengthening of the Emirates' air defenses in the face of growing threats.
During the recent attacks, at least three Iranian missiles were intercepted by defense systems, while it is not yet clear how many of them were neutralized by Iron Dome and how many by other systems present in the region.
