Russian attacks also hit the WHO office in Kiev, dozens of victims and injured

Intense Russian attacks overnight in Kiev have also hit the offices of the World Health Organization (WHO), adding to international concerns about the security of civilian and humanitarian institutions in Ukraine.

The news was confirmed by WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who stated that the building was damaged by debris from one of the airstrikes.

"The building was hit by debris from an attack, causing windows on the second floor to break. Fortunately, there were no injuries," he said.

According to Tedros, several other United Nations agencies, including the WHO, are also located in the same facility. After the incident, the organization called for an end to attacks on civilians and health facilities.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported that at least four people have been killed and over 100 others injured in massive Russian attacks in Kiev and other areas of the country.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia used dozens of missiles and hundreds of drones during the wave of attacks, some of which were shot down by air defense systems.

The WHO and its leaders called for an immediate ceasefire and respect for international humanitarian law.

"Attacks on civilians and health facilities must stop immediately," the WHO appealed.
