
A modern version of Dunkirk is expected to be experienced by 12,000 people living in 37 towns and villages in Ukraine, amid a concerted effort by Russia to push its troops beyond the front line, international media reports.
The affected citizens are expected to be evacuated, to escape the Russian attacks. Those citizens who do not want to leave their homes, according to the local authorities, will have to sign a document where they declare that they are aware of the dangers they face, as there is Russian bombing in the area.
The city of Kupyansk faces the threat of reoccupation by the Russian side. In the last 24 hours, Russian forces have retaliated in several areas. The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hana Maliar, stated that Russia has formed an attacking group and is trying to advance in the city controlled by Ukraine.
