Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting today with stakeholders from the entrepreneurship and banking system in the country to promote and discuss the progress of the program initiated by the Government, "Double Your Entrepreneurship".
He stressed that this program aims to financially support small and medium-sized enterprises, to grow them to another level. With a funding ceiling of 2 million euros, Rama emphasized that large enterprises are excluded from inclusion in the program.
"What we aim to do with this program is to support small and medium-sized enterprises to double in size. Those that are medium-sized to grow and become almost large, those that are small to become medium-sized ," said Rama.
The Head of Government highlighted the fundamental importance of the involvement and readiness of the Bank of Albania in the successful implementation of the "Double Your Entrepreneurship" program.
" It was essential that we, on our part as the government of Albania, had the cooperation and will of the Bank of Albania and then also of the second-tier banks, which at least in words have guaranteed us that they will do their part properly for the success of this program. I say at least in words, because the banks have entered an extraordinary comfort zone, because, unlike everyone else who fights to win, the banks win without fighting ," said Rama.
