French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has declared that France is "determined" to recognize a Palestinian state, expressing strong criticism of Israel over the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Barrot called the humanitarian blockade imposed by Israel "unjustifiable," stressing the urgent need for change.
" We cannot leave the children of Gaza a legacy of violence and hatred. Therefore, this situation must stop, and for this reason we are determined to recognize a Palestinian state," the French minister said.
This stance comes at a time of high tensions in the region, signaling a tougher stance by France in support of the Palestinian cause and against Israeli policies in Gaza.
