
The fear of escalating tensions in the Middle East has forced Western countries to call on their citizens to leave as soon as possible the areas threatened by the conflict.
This call has caused chaos and paralysis at the Beirut airport. Many citizens have chosen to leave, while many others have waited for hours at the airport, due to concerns about a war between Israel and Hezbollah. While many lines have suspended flights.

Following last Wednesday's assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniya in Tehran and the Israeli airstrike in Beirut a day earlier that killed Hezbollah military leader Fouad Shukr, many airlines, including Lufthansa and Air France, have suspended flights its to and from Beirut.
