The secret services of many European countries are warning more and more every day that Putin will start a war against NATO and that he has his "finger on the trigger".
Sweden and Norway urged their citizens to prepare for war with Russia, while Social Democrat German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said yesterday that Moscow could launch a war against the West in five to eight years.
In recent hours, Danish intelligence services have warned that a Russian military attack against NATO countries is "highly possible", but the Polish government also admits that the country is preparing for war with the Moscow regime.
The Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Wladysław Kośniak Kamlisz, was asked yesterday in an interview published in the daily "Super Express" whether he considers Ukraine's loss to Russia as a possible scenario and that then it is Poland's turn.
"I anticipate every scenario and take the worst more seriously. This is the job of a defense minister in the situation we are in today", he emphasized and admitted that his country is preparing for war with Russia.
"Major weapons purchases are very important, but every soldier's personal equipment should be taken just as seriously. Poland will play a very important role in the common defense of the European Union, the Commission also knows this," added the Polish minister.
However, today's Danish warning differs significantly from that of other countries (including Sweden and Germany). Danish intelligence services clarify exactly what Putin is planning, what he will watch out for and what Russian operations are being prepared against the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, as reported by the German newspaper Bild.
Denmark, Sweden and Norway are warning their citizens to prepare for war.
"Russia will put pressure on NATO countries by routinely sending aircraft and warships to breach national borders. Putin may even concentrate his army along the borders of a NATO country," Denmark's intelligence services wrote in their report.
However, Moscow will be careful not to lead to the collapse of the NATO alliance and therefore provoke a war by upsetting the balance on the borders of the country where it will deploy its troops.
This means that with the "military provocations" that Russia will impose on NATO, the Copenhagen government estimates that Moscow will not openly declare war on a NATO country, but that its military operations are possible.
Denmark's secret services believe, however, that Russia's intention is "to use its military power to question NATO countries without provoking Article 5 of the Constitution," the report states.
" Russia is still dangerous. Its willingness to take risks has increased since Finland and Sweden joined the Alliance. It also wants to increase its armed forces in the Baltic Sea region and the northwest, even if it is not yet able to do so in the short term," he adds.
"Attempts to seize territory are unlikely, but could be operations that paralyze NATO's decision-making processes, endangering cohesion and weakening the will of the alliance," said Russia expert Fleming Splindsboel, a senior researcher at the Danish Institute of Studies. International.
"Russia today is stronger than expected, despite two years of war in Ukraine. Putin is turning his country fully into a war economy, and he has come a long way to do that; the country is already developing military power and military reserves at a rapid pace" , warns the head of the Danish army, General Fleming Ledfer.
