Two people have lost their lives and five are missing after a boat capsized in the Danube River.
Dutch police announced yesterday evening that a person was found bleeding from the head on the bank of the Danube near the town of Veroce, about 50 kilometers north of the capital, Budapest.
Police said he was involved in a boating accident and the bodies of a man and a woman were later discovered nearby, the AP reports.
Hours after police began searching, they discovered a damaged boat in the water, which they towed to shore. Police are still looking for five other people who are believed to have been on the boat.
The police announced that a hotel boat was in the area at the time of the accident.
The deadly accident comes five years after at least 27 people died in Budapest when a river cruise ship collided with a smaller cruise ship, sinking it within seconds.
