A Russian court has confiscated assets worth 463 million euros ($503 million) belonging to the Italian bank UniCredit.
The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg is conducting the proceedings of the RusHimAlyans company owned by Gazprom against the UniCredit bank.
According to the Russian court's decision, the assets include securities, real estate and funds in the bank account. Earlier, the Gazprom-owned company filed a lawsuit against Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.
UniCredit was among the guarantors of the contract with the German company 'Linde' for the construction of a natural gas processing plant in Russia, which was terminated due to sanctions.
