The Palestine Red Crescent Society has raised the alarm about the lack of medicines in Gaza hospitals.
Through a statement distributed on the "X" platform, the association said that Palestinians in Gaza have undergone amputations without anesthesia and that many others have tragically lost their lives after amputation.
According to the Palestine Red Crescent, over 80 percent of amputation cases occur in children under 5 years of age who come with severe burns and doctors are forced to amputate their limbs.
" Alarming: 80% of cases in children under 5 result in severe burns, often leading to amputation of limbs. The increase in disability rates is related to the types of weapons, challenges in transportation to hospitals, and shortages of medications and vital supplies ," the statement said.
