Protests have returned again in the streets of Belgrade, where the opposition demands the cancellation of the December local elections, emphasizing that they were manipulated by President Vucic.
Even the reports of international observers have underlined that the elections in Belgrade were characterized by numerous irregularities.
In Belgrade, several thousand people gathered in front of the headquarters of the state election commission, chanting "thieves", while opposition leaders spoke to protesters denouncing election fraud.
"We should not be silent about this," said one of the protesters, adding that the protest is the beginning of something big.
The Serbian president appeared on state broadcaster RTS on Monday evening, declaring that "the elections were fair" and that he wanted to "tell people not to worry ... peace, law and order will prevail".
In a preliminary statement, a mission made up of representatives of international observers said the vote was "marred by harsh rhetoric, bias in the media, pressure on public sector workers and misuse of public resources".
