A rocket attack happened when Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his delegation were leaving Tel Aviv, Israel, for Cairo.
According to the German "Bild", shortly before departure there was an alarm about two explosions from the air at Ben Gurion Airport, as Scholz had already boarded the government plane, while everyone was asked to get off the plane and lay down on the boat.
It is learned that the explosions were rockets launched by Israel's Iron Dome air defense system, to shoot down rockets launched by Hamas.
According to BILD information, BKA then checked the government plane and the car in which Scholz was evacuated.
As Welt reports, there were also journalists on the mission who were forced to lie down on the runway.
After a few minutes, the passengers were able to return to the plane. After the temporary evacuation, the plane then departed from Tel Aviv to Cairo.
The missile alert went off suddenly in Tel Aviv at 18:33 German time, while the chancellor was holding political discussions.
