Hezbollah has reacted sharply to statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, rejecting the accusations and claiming that it is Israel that is violating the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
In a statement published on Telegram, the Lebanese group warns of the "extreme risk" of involving Lebanese authorities in an agreement between the US and Israel, stressing that "Lebanon has had no role" in this process.
Hezbollah said its actions were a “legitimate response” to what it called Israel’s continued violations, including its military presence and attacks on disputed territories. The group added that “continuing resistance against the presence of the Israeli enemy is a legitimate response.”
The statement emphasizes that the extension of the ceasefire was supposed to calm the situation, but according to them, "instead, Israel has intensified its aggression," citing bombings and destruction of homes in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah warns that it will continue to respond to any attack, stressing that "the resistance is present and ready to defend its land and people."
