Nearly 200 missiles fired from Iran towards Israel
The "fuses" have been removed in the Middle East. After the Israeli attacks, Iran has launched a counterattack by launching hundreds of ballistic missiles towards Tel Aviv. The entire region is now engulfed in uncertainty and panic, while the US and its allies try to help Israel overcome this situation.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said earlier that it had launched an attack on dozens of targets in Israel following its large-scale attack on the Islamic Republic. Sirens were heard across northern and southern Israel after a second barrage of dozens of ballistic missiles launched from Iran.
Speaking to Reuters, a senior Iranian official said: " Our revenge has just begun, they will pay a high price for killing our commanders, scientists and people, nothing in Israel will be safe and our revenge will be painful."
It is learned that about 200 rockets were fired from Iran towards Israel in the second round of the attack. Some damage was reported in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, but as reported by the Israeli authorities there were only 7 injured who were taken to the hospital and are receiving medical assistance. Meanwhile, a third round of 150 rockets was launched from Iran towards Israel and it is believed that this will not be the last, as other attacks are expected in the coming hours.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Iran had "crossed red lines" by firing missiles at civilian population centers and vowed to pay a "very heavy price" for its actions.
Israeli officials report that the United States is assisting Israel in intercepting Iranian ballistic missiles that were launched toward the country this evening. Earlier, the United States announced that it was moving warships and other military resources to the Middle East to help protect Israel and American troops from any potential retaliation by Iran.
France, another ally, has stated that it will participate in Israel's defense in the event of an Iranian response.
As part of the measures taken in response to Iran's response, the Israeli military has asked its citizens to stay near war shelters.
“The Home Front Command has now instructed residents across the country to stay close to protected areas. Movement in public areas should be minimized and public gatherings should be avoided. Upon receiving an alert, enter a protected area and remain there until an official update is issued ,” the Israeli army message said.
The Israeli military said its defense systems were acting to intercept the "threat," adding that the public was instructed to "enter a protected area and remain there until further notice."
Meanwhile, in a message to the nation on Friday morning, hours after Israel struck sites in Tehran and other cities, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Zionist regime should expect a harsh punishment. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, declared that the Israeli regime sealed a “bitter and painful” fate for itself with the nighttime attacks on Iran. He implied that other attacks would follow.
