Friday's magnitude 6.8 earthquake in Morocco, with its epicenter in the High Atlas Mountains, has severely damaged the UNESCO-protected city of Marrakesh.
Entire villages have been completely razed, while assistance in provincial areas remains worrying. So far, the number of victims has exceeded 2,500, while rescue teams are racing against time to pull survivors out of the rubble.
A video published by BCC shows the moment when the earthquake interrupted a singer's musical performance at a wedding in Marrakech.
The singer and his band just felt the shakes, left the stage and headed for the exit. Screams and panic among the wedding guests, who were trying to get out of the bar.
