French President Emmanuel Macron has reacted to the assassination of Donald Trump, the victim of an assassination attempt on Saturday during a pre-election rally.
He called the event a tragedy for democracy, in the same message as Prime Minister Rama.
"One Trump supporter died, many were injured. This is a tragedy for our democracies. France shares the shock and anger of the American people," Macron added.
After the assassination of Donald Trump, a new video published in the media shows the moment when Secret Service agents shot the gunman on a roof hundreds of meters away.
Footage shows agents on top of a building above the rally scene in Butler, Pennsylvania, as they fire in the direction of the gunshots. Seconds later, the alleged perpetrator was executed by Donald Trump's security. He was identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
Referring to the local media, Crooks is identified as a Republican, while the causes of this attempted assassination still remain a mystery. The FBI has asked for the help of citizens to help in the investigation for the full disclosure of this armed attack. Trump has spoken after the gun attack saying that "he will never surrender".
