Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his government will continue arming Israeli citizens, which has accelerated since October 7.
Netanyahu issued a statement on his social media accounts regarding the armed attack in Jerusalem where 3 people were killed.
"The perpetrators of the attack in Jerusalem were neutralized by 2 Israeli soldiers and 1 civilian. The government under my leadership will continue to expand the distribution of weapons to citizens," Netanyahu declared.
In the armed attack this morning in Jerusalem, 3 Israelis were killed and several others were seriously injured.
Police announced that the two West Bank Palestinians who are said to have carried out the attack were killed by two soldiers who were on leave and an armed civilian.
Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, known for his campaign to arm civilians in Israel and Jewish settlers in the West Bank, said he would continue distributing arms to Israelis despite criticism.
Netanyahu's government after October 7 started a campaign to arm civilians in the country.
