The United Arab Emirates' air defenses announced that they had detected and neutralized a new wave of missile and drone attacks today. According to the Ministry of Defense, seven ballistic missiles were identified, of which six were intercepted and destroyed, while one fell on Emirati territory.
Authorities also said that 131 drones were detected, of which 125 were intercepted, while six fell on the country's territory.
The Ministry of Defense stressed that since the beginning of what it describes as "open Iranian aggression", the Emirati air defenses have withstood a large number of air attacks. According to official data, 196 ballistic missiles have been detected so far, of which 181 have been destroyed, 13 have fallen into the sea, while two have hit the national territory.
Authorities also report that 1,072 Iranian drones have been identified, of which 1,001 were intercepted by air defense systems, while 71 fell on Emirati territory. In addition, eight cruise missiles were detected and destroyed.
According to the latest balance sheet published by the Ministry of Defense, three people have lost their lives and 94 others have been injured in these attacks.
