For more than two decades, secret service agents have not entered Aco Djukanovic's house in the Rastoci neighborhood of Niksic, so the ammunition package found there last weekend is not the property of this institution, the National Security Agency (ANB) told the newspaper "Vijesti".
At the same time, the Police Directorate (UP) told the newspaper that the ammunition does not even belong to the police, explaining that it is about cartridges of different calibers intended for hunting weapons and other weapons that are not used for police purposes.
This is how the two security services, led by Ivica Janović and Lazar Sčepanović, reacted to questions from "Vijesti" following the arrest of Aco Djukanović and his defense's claims that the ammunition found is a remnant of the state services that previously provided security to the former Prime Minister and former President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanović.
During the search of several facilities of the arrested businessman and brother of the former prime minister and former long-serving president of Montenegro, police found and seized several rifles, more than 400 pieces of ammunition of various brands and calibers, three empty magazines, five ballistic protective vests and other equipment.
After the arrest of Aco Djukanovic, one of his lawyers, Nikola Martinovic, stated that “this is unorganized ammunition and that it is likely a remnant of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro and the National Security Agency, formerly the State Security Service, which in that area secured the protected person – the former Prime Minister and former President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic.” He said the same about the ballistic vests found in the house.
ANB responded that its employees were not engaged in securing this facility after 2005 and that their activities were conducted only in the context of collecting operational data for the preparation of a security assessment regarding threats to the protected person, Milo Djukanovic.

Ata theksuan gjithashtu se nuk kanë të dhëna zyrtare për llojin, sasinë dhe specifikat e municionit të gjetur në Rastoci dhe se kanë pasur informacion vetëm nga burime publike lidhur me këtë rast.
“ANB posedon një sasi të caktuar municioni për armatimin zyrtar, për të cilin mban evidencë të saktë për sasinë dhe llojin, kalibrin. Duke qenë se municioni nuk ka numra serialë, por vetëm të dhëna për vitin e prodhimit dhe ndonjëherë për prodhuesin, është e pamundur të përcaktohet përputhshmëria, sepse ky lloj municioni përdoret gjerësisht. Siç kemi theksuar, punonjësit që sigurojnë personat e mbrojtur nuk janë pjesë e ANB-së. Të gjitha ngarkimet dhe dorëzimet e pajisjeve para vitit 2005 janë bërë në Ministrinë e Punëve të Brendshme të Republikës së Malit të Zi, pasi Shërbimi i Sigurimit Shtetëror ishte pjesë e këtij ministrie, gjë që nënkupton se dokumentacioni përkatës gjendet në njësinë përkatëse të këtij ministrie”, shpjeguan nga ANB.
Nga Drejtoria e Policisë përsëritën se Aco Gjukanoviç mbante pa leje armë dhe municion në papafingon e shtëpisë, të paketuar në celofan.
“Sendet e sekuestruara, armë zjarri dhe municion të gjetura gjatë kontrollit te personi A. Đ., siç është paraqitur në kallëzimin penal të dorëzuar nga Drejtoria e Policisë dhe në urdhrin për zhvillimin e hetimit nga prokurori kompetent, përbëjnë objekt të veprës penale ‘mbajtje dhe mbartje e paligjshme e armëve dhe materialeve shpërthyese’, që i vihet në barrë të pandehurit. Në lidhje me pyetjet tuaja konkrete, sqarojmë se armët dhe municioni mbaheshin pa leje në papafingon e objektit banues, të paketuar në celofan, dhe mënyra e mbajtjes së tyre përbën elemente të kësaj vepre penale. Biznesmeni Aco Gjukanoviç është vendosur në paraburgim për shkak të rrezikut të arratisjes pasi dyshohet për veprën penale të mbajtjes dhe mbartjes së paligjshme të armëve dhe materialeve shpërthyese.
"It has been established that there is a well-founded suspicion that the suspect A. Đ. has committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and transportation of weapons and explosive materials under Article 403 paragraph 2 in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, which results from the suspect's defense, as well as from the minutes, official notes and photographic documentation of the Police Directorate. The investigating judge assesses that there are circumstances indicating that the suspect, if released, could escape and become inaccessible to the state bodies of Montenegro during the further procedure," the statement of the spokesperson for the Basic Court in Niksic, Milos Ivanovic, states.

The brother of the former prime minister and former long-serving president of Montenegro was arrested on the night between February 27 and 28, after a search of the family home in the Rastoci neighborhood of Niksic.
The Police Directorate announced that employees of the Crime Prevention Sector, with the support of the Special Police Unit and inspectors of the regional security centers "Center" and "West", on February 27 and during the night of February 28, conducted searches in several Djukanovic buildings and premises in Podgorica and Niksic, based on orders from the competent prosecutors' offices and courts.
The police announced that during the search of an apartment in Podgorica, several documents were seized and that the prosecution has been notified, which will open a case for further action.
During the search in Niksic, according to the police, a large amount of firearms and ammunition was found: a Mauser hunting carbine with an optical sight, a Brno rifle with a Busnell optic, a shotgun and a pistol of an unknown brand, an M-48 hunting carbine, as well as a CZ 99 para pistol with a magazine containing five cartridges and a gun permit in the name of a deceased family member. The police also announced that more than 400 cartridges of various brands and calibers, three empty magazines, five ballistic vests and a Zeiss binoculars were found.
However, lawyer Martinović claimed that some of the weapons found in the house belong to Milo Djukanović, emphasizing that “several rifles dedicated” to his brother were found, as well as weapons belonging to their late father, for which, according to him, there is documentation.
He added that Djukanovic agrees to all expert tests being conducted, that DNA has also been taken, and that the defense expects the results to show that the suspect has no connection to the disputed rifles.
However, former President Milo Djukanovic has not declared any weapons registered in his name or received as gifts to the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
This was confirmed to "Vijesti" by this agency, announcing that they will initiate a new procedure to determine whether the former public official has violated the law. /Pamphlet/
