Iran has stated that it is ready to choose between escalating the conflict or pursuing the diplomatic path to end the standoff with the United States.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced that Tehran has presented a plan to mediator Pakistan, with the aim of reaching a final solution to the conflict.
According to him, now "the ball is in the court of the United States", which must decide whether to follow a diplomatic approach or continue with the confrontation.
"Iran presented its plan to the mediator, Pakistan, aiming for a final end to the war, and now the ball is in the court of the United States, which must choose between the diplomatic path or continuing a confrontational approach," said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.
Addressing ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in the Iranian capital, Gharibabadi stressed that Iran, in order to protect its interests and national security, is prepared for both scenarios.
