Iran has given new signals of optimism about negotiations with the United States, while Pakistan is playing an increasingly active role in mediating contacts between the parties.

The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, stated that following discussions held in Tehran, a "positive step" is taking shape in the dialogue with Washington.

" With cautious optimism, we can hope that, if the other side shows the right commitment, a positive development is taking shape ," Moghadam declared.

He said this progress is linked to the "dignified stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran," the resistance of the Iranian people, and Pakistan's mediation efforts.

The Iranian diplomat also thanked Islamabad for its role in the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is also appearing optimistic after the intensive round of talks held in Tehran.

Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir paid a 24-hour visit to the Iranian capital, where he met with President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and other senior Iranian officials.

According to Pakistani sources, the discussions have been "very productive" and some of the tensions between the parties appear to have eased.

In Islamabad, it is believed that Iran has hinted that it is willing to consider several compromise options, including the dilution of enriched uranium and a partial opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

However, Tehran demands in return the easing of American pressure and the lifting of economic blockades.

Attention is now focused on Washington's reaction, with the coming hours and days considered crucial for the fate of the negotiations.

According to reports, if the US gives positive signals, a new round of talks could take place soon in Islamabad.

The latest developments come at a delicate moment for the region, as the US and Iran try to avoid a new military escalation and find a compromise over Iran's nuclear program and security in the Persian Gulf.
