160 kg of cocaine which had arrived from Ecuador was seized in the port of Thessaloniki.
It is known that the cocaine was hidden in two containers of bananas that arrived at the port 10 days ago.
Greek media reports that the discovery of cocaine was made by the Greek police in cooperation with the US DEA.
The shipments are also related to 105 kg of drugs seized in the middle of last month, while the cargo was ordered by the same company based in Skopje.
For the case of 105 kg of drugs, 10 people were arrested, including the 68-year-old doctor, involved in fuel and cigarette smuggling. So, nine of the arrested have been sent to prison.
The Thessaloniki security is now expected to send the new data to the investigation to complete the file already filed for the 105 kilograms of cocaine.
