The developments in the Middle East in recent hours are rapid. The US could attack Iran within 24 hours, while US President Donald Trump said that he had received reports that the executions of the Tehran regime have been stopped. However, Trump said that the information will be verified, but it is not known whether or not there will be an attack or a withdrawal from US military actions on Iran.
On Wednesday evening, Italy and Poland called on their citizens to immediately leave Iran.
The Italian Foreign Ministry repeated a previous appeal for citizens to leave, citing the current security situation.
There are about 600 Italians in Iran, most of them in the Tehran area.
The Polish Foreign Ministry also renewed a previous call in a post on X, saying it "urges immediate departure from Iran and advises against all travel to this country."
On the other hand, the United Kingdom has announced that it has temporarily closed its embassy in Tehran.
"We have temporarily closed the British Embassy in Tehran, which will now operate remotely. The Foreign Office's travel advice has now been updated to reflect this consular change," a statement said.

This comes after the UK has also withdrawn military personnel from a US base in Qatar.
The US has also begun withdrawing some staff from the US-run Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest US base in the region.
