"Italy could be the next target of Russian drones"/ Minister Tajani

Various hypotheses are emerging from the events of recent days, when Russian drones have been seen in the territories of NATO countries, from Poland to Estonia and recently in Denmark.

EU countries will seek to create a "Defensive Wall" against drones and fighter jets from all NATO countries will act as a shield, including Italian fighter jets. Russia has warned that if any of its combat vehicles are shot down, then that country is at war with it.

But to calm down, at least Italy, the country's Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, the number 2 in the Italian government, has issued a statement. He stated that "Putin is aggressive, but I don't think he wants to attack Italy."

"Putin is aggressive, but I don't think he wants to attack Italy. However, our air defense is always vigilant and attentive. The efficiency of the Air Force is always high, Italians can be safe," said Minister Tajani after another drone alert yesterday and today in European skies.

Yesterday, Ukrainian President Zelensky warned that “Italy could be the next target” of Russian drones. A large-scale attack by 595 Russian drones hit Kiev, resulting in four deaths and six injuries. Poland has scrambled its own fighter jets. Moscow, however, claims to have shot down 41 Ukrainian drones overnight.
