The United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories said there are "reasonable grounds" to believe that Israel is "committing genocide against Palestinians as a group in Gaza.
The rapporteur, Francesca Albanese, made the comments on Wednesday after delivering her latest report called "Anatomy of a Genocide" to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday.

Albanese said there had been a blatant and systematic massacre of Palestinian civilians, as well as the deployment of illegal weaponry, the complete destruction of vital civilian infrastructure including the deliberate targeting of all Gaza hospitals, and starvation inflicted on Palestinians.
