Iran's state news agency IRNA has reported that several people were injured after Israel targeted the headquarters of Iran's national police in an attack today.
"A number of buildings near the headquarters of Iran's National Law Enforcement Command were targeted, as part of the ongoing aggression by the usurping and brutal Zionist regime ," IRNA reported.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz previously declared that his country had “destroyed” Iran’s “public security” headquarters.
Israeli Air Force fighter jets “destroyed the public security headquarters of the Iranian regime – the main repressive branch of the Iranian dictator,” Katz claimed.
CNN could not independently verify the claim, and Katz did not provide further details.
Iranian state media had previously reported that an Israeli attack occurred near a Red Crescent facility in Tehran. The headquarters of the National Law Enforcement Command is on the same street as the Red Crescent facility.
